BOOK
High School Math Journey
A shift from pattern matching to proof-driven and path-based math learning.
Back to HomeWhy This Book Started
This book started from my high school math notes in Obsidian, and was later organized in LaTeX.
I wanted a resource that explains math as a connected system instead of just listing problem templates.
A major influence was A Journey Through Elementary Mathematics from Springer.
The manuscript is currently paused indefinitely, and this may be the final public version.
On Workbooks, AI, and Learning
I no longer plan to expand a separate workbook project because of time and sustainability constraints.
Interactive AI guidance can now provide step-by-step reasoning support more effectively than static answer sheets in many cases.
For mistakes, iterative dialogue is often better than one-way explanation.
Why Updates Were Paused
The project is paused for the following reasons:
1. The project is not financially sustainable.
The long-term return is too low compared with the amount of time and effort required.
After spending a very large amount of time, the outcome did not become a stable source of support.
At this stage of life, I need to prioritize sustainable work and growth.
2. Ongoing unauthorized reselling.
The manuscript was repackaged and resold multiple times, which kept draining time and motivation.
3. Long-form writing became too one-directional.
Writing this kind of book needs long, uninterrupted time blocks, which does not fit my current focus.
4. I moved to software products.
I am now focused on Flutter and learning products where I can iterate faster and interact directly with users.
What I Will Do Next
- Gradually migrate parts of the manuscript into software features.
- Keep building practical software and accumulate engineering experience.
- Revisit writing in the future with a new structure if the timing is right.
- Prioritize sustainable income and long-term execution capacity.
